Modernisation of the Beethovenhalle
The Beethovenhalle is to be the main venue for the 2020 commemoration of Ludwig van Beethoven, celebrating 250 years since the birth of the great composer. Preparations for the event will include a complete refurbishment and modernisation of the concert hall. The refurbishment works should be completed by mid of 2020. The venue will not be in use until then.
In partnership with the city of Bonn, the heritage organisation Deutsche Stiftung Denkmalschutz and the charitable body Verein ProBeethovenhalle are raising money for additional refurbishment work for which there is currently no funding. Data & Facts
The diverse range of uses of the premises around the Great Hall and in the South Forum mean that organising further training and seminars for a small lobby is just as possible as executing evening events or symposia with several hundred participants.
